Hyperlinks

You will see many clickable links in this platform. This is because every topic here just one node in a web of knowledge about PLCnext Technology. For a better differentiation on what to expect behind a link, we use the following link types.

Linked web content

This common link type jumps to a target address:

  • somewhere else in the World Wide Web
  • in another Info Center with a quite similar look & feel but different content
  • within this Info Center, such as another topic, or to an anchor in the same topic

Usually, if the targeted content runs under a different domain then clicking the link opens a new browser window or tab. You can force that behavior by clicking the link with the right mouse button and choose the preferred behavior from the context menu.

Linked files

This Info Center provides further technical documentation and examples as files.

  • The PDF link type opens a PDF file in your browser where you can read it immediately, and download if you want.
  • The file link type starts downloading a file or zip package from this Info Center.

Linked mail addresses

The mail link type starts an email in your standard mail tool, addressing the mail address of the documentation team responsible for the respective Info Center.
